PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) — A prominent human rights activist Chan Soveth died Wednesday afternoon at around 3:00 p.m after fainting, said Ny Chakrya, head of monitoring section at human rights group adhoc.
Chan Soveth, Adhoc’s senior investigator, didn’t feel well after returning from joining International Human Rights Day this morning, Chakrya confirmed.
The body of Soveth is now at his home near Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Chamkar Morn district, Phnom Penh.
