Subang PKR member S. Jayathas was detained by police this afternoon after being called up to record his statement over the recent #KitaLawan rally

He is said to be the 10th individual arrested over the March 7 rally to press Putrajaya into releasing opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and to call for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s resignation.
His lawyer said that the PKR deputy chairman for the Human Rights and Legal Bureau, was detained at the Dang Wangi police headquarters at about 3pm.
The party, in a statement, added that police promised to release him tonight as he is undergoing treatment for a kidney problem.
Jayathas had earlier made an appointment with the police at 2.30pm today but found himself arrested during the interview.
He is now being represented by his lawyer Sivamalar, PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil said.
Other Pakatan Rakyat leaders and activists who have been detained over the rally are PAS Youth treasurer Mohd Fakhrul Razi, PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar, PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli, Jingga 13 head coordinator Mohd Fariz Musa, PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Kelana Jaya PKR Youth leader Saifullah Zulkifli, DAP Youth chief Teo Kok Seong, and activists, Adam Adil Abdul Halim and Mandeep Singh.
Police is expected to call Nurul Nuha Anwar next to provide her statement regarding the #KitaLawan rally.
