On 1 December 2022, Thursday, 14:00 to 16:00 (GMT+8), Child Rights Coalition Asia will have the final session of our 2022 Asia Pacific Partnership Meeting of Child Rights Coalitions and Networks (APPM) via Zoom and it will carry the theme “Ensuring a Healthy Environment and Sustainable Development for Children.”
This capacity-building session for civil society on engaging the Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) on the progress of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has a particular focus on the climate crisis and children’s right to a healthy environment.
This APPM session aims specifically at (1) deepening the understanding of civil society on the VNRs and its practical use to advance children’s rights by sharing a toolkit for supporting children’s advocacies at the local level; (2) presenting the interlinkages of the climate crisis and the children’s right to a healthy environment and the SDGs; and (3) demonstrating local examples of child participation in the VNRs.
