The Center for Southeast Asia Studies, Kyoto University, will organize a SEASIA Webinar on Transregional Approaches to Southeast Asian Studies on 26 January 2022 at 3:00 pm (Manila/Singapore Time).
The purpose of this webinar is to examine how a comparative and transregional approach to Southeast Asian area studies is conducted by scholars from within the Asian region. What are some key examples of transregional approaches? What are the methodological challenges of such an approach? How might these challenges be overcome? How do these approaches enhance Southeast Asian studies?
