ASEAN Event
The Embassies of Ireland and Finland in Indonesia, along with the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation, will organize the ASEAN-IPR’s Discussion Series 2022 – “Protection and Promotion of Human Rights for Sustainable Peace”, on Tuesday, 23 August 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:30pm via Zoom.
This session aims to explore further the link between human rights and peace, and also to learn from the best practices for the rehabilitation and restoration of human rights in post-conflict situations. It also aims to examine developing frameworks to ensure the relief and rehabilitation of victims’ rights in post-conflict situations, and to understand the approaches to building sustainable peace to be able to help authorities in ensuring the restoration and maintenance of human rights in peacebuilding and peacekeeping efforts.
