Women’s Fund Asia (WFA) is pleased to announce that we will soon be launching the next cycle of grants for the Strengthening Feminist Movements (SFM) program, scheduled for the last week of June. Under this grantmaking program, Women’s Fund Asia supports women, girls,  trans, and intersex rights activists, groups, and networks, working at the local, subnational, and national levels.

This call is open to individuals, organizations and networks in 17 countries in Asia. Organizations who wish to apply for an SFM grant should note the following annual budget cut-off criteria:

  • To apply for a one-year grant: Maximum annual budget of USD 50,000.

  • To apply for a two-year grant: Minimum annual budget of USD 20,000 and maximum annual budget of USD 75,000 (only applicants who have received at least two WFA grants from 2010 onwards and who can receive foreign funding as grants or donations).

Organizations who have applied for the Leading from the South (LFS) grant can also apply for an SFM grant. However, even if both applications under SFM and LFS are selected, an organization can only receive one grant.

We will be holding a webinar on 6 July 2022, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Manila/GMT+8) to guide prospective SFM applicants from Southeast Asia. Please register at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_O2HD-6XfTzODRaXidttpJA

Kindly register by 28 June to help enable us to find an interpreter in time. Prospective applicants can sign up for either session, but we will be focusing on the concerns of specific regions as per above and the language options will reflect that focus. The timeline and criteria for the SFM will be announced in the next few weeks.
