ASEAN Event
The objectives of this meeting are:
– Learning from the hands-on experiences of the UN experts;
– Sharing experiences and best practices in drafting and presenting national reports among ASEAN member states;
– Having discussions on reform of reporting procedure to make comments and recommendations to UN reporting mechanisms if possible;
– Identifying the achievements and challenges in implementing treaty bodies’ and UPR recommendations;
– Sharing experiences on the follow up of implementing recommendations;
– Findings out the advantages of conducting a national report to each country;
– Find out common standards and practical procedures within ASEAN.
