The drafting group reportedly completed the Preamble of the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration. It was agreed that the Preamble shall be a) in line with the existing elements in the framework given by AICHR, b) cover the instruments and the existing mechanisms related to human rights in ASEAN, and c) provide a space to articulate the possible instruments and mechanisms that can be established in the future.
