As Guest-of Honour at Dunman High School’s Model ASEAN Plus Summit 2013 on 5 June 2013, Singapore’s Representative to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) Ambassador Chan Heng Chee delivered a keynote speech to an audience which included international and local students. This is part of Singapore’s outreach effort to promote awareness of the AICHR and the AHRD amongst students. In her address, Ambassador Chan spoke on the role of the AICHR and the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration (AHRD) in promoting human rights in Southeast Asia, before fielding questions from the students on ASEAN and AICHR-related issues.
