Southeast Asian Media Fellowship on Election Reporting, ANFREL

    Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) is seeking applications for its Southeast Asian Media Fellowship on Election Reporting.

    ANFREL believes that the media play important roles during elections in helping the electorate make informed decisions and in monitoring the electoral process against irregularities and corruption. The program aims to reinforce and strengthen the capacity of journalists to empower the electorate through the crucial reporting of underrepresented voices and underreported issues during elections.

    Applications must be sent to [email protected] with the subject “ANFREL SEA Media Fellowship Application”. The deadline for submitting applications is on August 31, 2021 at 5:00 pm (Bangkok/Jakarta Time).

    Shortlisted applicants will be scheduled for interviews in September 2021. The media fellowship program will run from September 2021 to January 2022. Successful applicants will undergo intensive training and receive mentorship and financial support for a story or series of stories on elections that they will pursue under the program.
