    Digital Security Consultant : Southeast Asia [Frontline Defenders]

    Front Line Defenders in partnership with Tactical Technology Collective is working to expand the capacity of Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) to manage risks associated with the use of digital information and communications. We aim to offer direct support to HRDs with the help of a Digital Security Consultant (DSC) based in Southeast Asia.

    Front Line Defenders in partnership with Tactical Technology Collective is working to expand the capacity of Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) to manage risks associated with the use of digital information and communications. We aim to offer direct support to HRDs with the help of a Digital Security Consultant (DSC) based in Southeast Asia.

    Front Line Defenders is seeking cooperation with a consultant for a contract finishing by the end of 2019 to help in digital security support for HRDs and HR organisations at risk in south-east Asia. Candidates should have prior good experience in working with HRDs in the region, very good ICT skills (on the level of computer and network administrators and previous good experience with individual and organisational digital security). Experience with overall protection and/or psychosocial security would be an advantage. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills allowing them to interact with HRDs at risk in situations of stress. Candidates should be able to work independently, be based in the region, and be able to travel in the region. Candidates need to speak very good English. Knowledge of the regional languages would be an advantage.

    The project will be managed by Front Line Defenders. The contract will cover 75% of the hours of full employment. Work will be delivered by the DSC directly to HRDs in large part on the ground in face-to-face interaction and in some part remotely.
