Speakers:

H.E. Amb. Mr. Hasjim Djalal (Board of Experts of The Habibie Center);

H.E. Amb. Mr. Hasjim Djalal was an Ambassador to Canada (1983-1985), Germany (1990-1993) and Ambassador at-large for the Law of the Sea and Maritime Affairs (1994-2000). He is currently a member of board of experts of The Habibie Center, member of Indonesian Maritime Council, Senior Advisor to the Indonesian Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and to Indonesian Naval Chief of Staff, and lectures at universities in Indonesia.

H.E. Amb. Mr. Makarim Wibisono (Former Executive Director of ASEAN Foundation);

H.E. Amb. Mr. Makarim Wibisono served as Executive Director of ASEAN Foundation period 2011-2013. He also served as Ambassador of Indonesia to the United Nations and to some Central American countries, President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

Mr. Rene Pattiradjawane (Chairman of Center for Chinese Studies, University of Indonesia)

Mr. Rene Pattiradjawane gained his degree from National Taiwan University and Flinders University, Hong Kong. He is now serving as lecturer of Chinese Studies at University of Indonesia. He is also a senior journalist of Daily Kompas; covering political and economic issues in the East Asia Region and the creator of Detik.com.
