On 1 September 2021 at 10.00 AM (Bangkok time GMT+7), Asia Centre will convene a webinar at the occasion of the launch of their latest baseline study: “Internet Freedoms in Cambodia: A Gateway of Control”. This report examines the current state of internet freedoms and their future in Cambodia. Special attention will be placed on the National Internet Gateway (NIG) put in motion in 2021 that will serve as a “firewall” which monitors internet traffic nationwide and would enable the government to effectively censor and control all domestic information and communications in the nation.
